Office Policies and Procedures

Dear Patient:

Welcome to the Marino Center for Integrative Health. The following letter explains our office policies, which are designed to assure that we are able to provide the quality of care you expect from us, and that all of our patients are able to receive their care promptly, with minimal waiting times.

Office Policies:

  1. Office Hours: Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Please check with your practitioner for extended hours.
  2. Payment: Please check with your insurance company to see what services are covered by your policy. You are responsible for confirming that your insurance will cover the treatment you receive here. Services that are not covered by your insurance must be paid at the time of the visit. We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, personal and travelers checks.
  3. Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours notice if you are canceling your appointment. If you are canceling a Monday appointment, then we must be notified by Saturday. If you cancel without adequate notice or fail to appear for your appointment, you will be responsible for a cancellation fee, up to the full visit charge.
  4. Punctuality: Our practitioners generally start and finish on time. If you are late, there will be less time available for your visit, or you may have to reschedule your appointment.
  5. Medical History: The medical history form should be filled out before your first appointment.
  6. Medical Records: If you would like us to release your records to another physician, hospital, attorney, etc., you must sign a written release.
  7. Perfumes and Smoke: Because we treat environmentally sensitive patients, we ask that you do not wear perfume or after-shave to your visit. We also ask smokers not to smoke before a visit. Smoke stays on your person and can affect our allergic patients.
  8. Parking: Free parking is available in the rear of the building in our private parking lot. Parking is also available along Massachusetts Avenue.
  9. Laboratory Tests: The Marino Center is not responsible for the billing of any laboratory tests ordered by your practitioner. Please contact each lab directly if you have insurance coverage questions. Be sure to include your insurance information on the requisition form, or, if necessary, enclose the payment with your specimen.
  10. Research: The Marino Center is involved in a variety of research protocols. By signing below you are agreeing to be contacted about voluntary research studies that may be of interest to you.

If you have any questions about our office policies, please contact the Center.  We look forward to meeting you.
